Royals have won 4 out 4 against Mumbai, so some issues certainly for MI to look at. Steve Smith played brilliantly, given the captaincy today and he handled it really well. Some players get better with captaincy, Smith certainly one of those.
That’s it then, Smith remains unbeaten and gets a leg bye away for a boundary to pick 4 runs. Royals win this one rather convincingly in the end and complete yet another double over the Mumbai Indians! Smith certainly the hero with an unbeaten 59 off 48 balls
Royals are happy to do it in singles here, Rohit can probably bring in an extra fielder inside the ring here to increase the pressure on these two batsmen. Just 4 needed from the final over here
WICKET! Two first ball ducks for Ashton Turner here, superb delivery this from Bumrah as it comes back in and wraps Turner on the pads. He was looking to play it towards the leg-side but has to walk back here. Still, life left for MI?
WICKET! That’s the end of Parag’s brilliant innings, he deserved a half-century there but has to walk back after being run out. Looks to steal a couple there but a brilliant throw from Ben Cutting in the deep. On one bounce to Pandya who then dislodges the bail. Prayag departs for 43 off 29 balls.
50! Sensational innings this from Steve Smith as he completes his half-century. He has shown great intent today and comes out fighting. It looks like a man with a point to prove after being dropped for the previous game. Royals are 145/3 after 17 overs here
Parag really bossing the chase here, he has made Steve Smith’s job way easier here. Batting on 41 off 27 balls at the moment, he is making the game look really easy for Royals. 25 needed from final 4 overs
Chahar now travels the distance as Prayag dispatches the short ball with total control for a maximum. Royals absolutely cruising at this stage, they are right now 128/3 after 15 overs
Young Prayag going after Hardik Pandya, first a ramp shot which goes away for a boundary and then he gets an outside edge which goes flying away for a boundary. Rajasthan Royals are 118/3 after 14 overs. Mumbai need a wicket here
Jasprit Bumrah comes back into the attack here, Rajasthan is more than happy to deal in 1s against the quality pacer. He concedes just 5 runs in that over. Bumrah will bowl 2 of the 7 overs here..54 needed from 42 balls here
Steve Smith really seems to be playing with great intent here, he looks like he wants to end on the winning side here. He’s also guiding young Prayag. The game in Royals favour at the moment, they need 59 from final 8 overs here
Markande leaking runs from the other end, he is bowling a bit too short on this pitch and young Prayag also hitting him for a boundary. Captain Rohit Sharma won’t really be happy with that .
WICKET! Chahar gets another wicket,Samson again giving his wicket away when he was looking so good. Chahar gives the ball some air and Samson looks to go straight but gets height rather than the distance. Pollard comes underneath that and takes a good catch. He departs for 35 and Royals are 76/2
SIX! Steve Smith showing his class there, comes down the track and just clips it over long on for a maximum. Fantastic shot by the skipper here and Royals looking really good here
This is a quickfire start here from the Rajasthan Royals here, the plan certainly seems to be to go after the bowling early in the piece here. Samson certainly being the aggressor at this stage
WICKET! Rahul Chahar strikes in his first over here, Rahane comes down the track and looks to hit through the covers but that was in the air, brilliantly taken by Suryakumar Yadav at covers. After two boundaries, Rahane has to walk back. Royals are 39/1
Lasith Malinga comes into the attack straight away here, just 1 over for Pandya then with the new ball. Seven runs in the over and Mumbai Indians lose their review also early in the over. They go for DRS against Rahane on a LBW call but the ball was going way over the stumps. Royals are 31/0 after 3 overs
Sanju Samson really stroking the ball well here, he seems to be in great form and important for him to not throw it away. Krunal Pandya concedes 15 runs in his first over as he concedes three boundaries there. Royals are 24/0 here
Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson start really solidly in chase here, two back-to-back boundaries for Sanju Samson here and Royals are 9/0 after the 1st over here, Again, Hardik Pandya taking the new ball for Mumbai!

Mumbai have struggled against the Royals recently, they haven’t won since last year and also the first game at Wankhede. 160 just might be enough, it will depend on how the first six overs go for the Royals.
SIX! Big Ben ends it in style, he struggled a bit for his timing there but gets the final one from the middle of the bat and deposits it over square leg for a maximum. Mumbai cross 160 to end at 161/5 here. Certainly a competitive score on this sluggish surface.
WICKET! Archer might not be able to catch him but then he finally gets him. Leg before wicket on the first ball of the 19th over. Certainly saves some damage to his team. Pandya deaprts for 23 off 15 balls. Mumbai are 152/5
DROPPED! Third one goes down, Jofra Archer yet again! Unbelievable this, another simple chance as Pandya hits this in the air and Archer comes underneath that one but again gets hard hands on it and the ball pops out.
Eight runs from the first two balls as Unadkat bowls two wide deliveries to Hardik Pandya. This looks like the over which will go for a few
Another fantastic over by Jofra Archer here, he concedes just 5 runs in the over. Looks like its Hardik Pandya who will have to do bulk of the hitting here. Four dot balls in that over and Mumbai are currently 133/4
WICKET! Unadkat is delighted and rightly so, he takes the matter into his own hands there and bowls full. Might have moved a little and it beats Pollard’s bat swing to clatter into the off-stump. Pollard departs for 10 and Mumbai are 124/4
DROPPED! Jofra Archer yet again and this one was simpler, its the big one too. Hardik Pandya gets one from the toe end of the bat and it goes straight to Archer at deep mid-wicket. He seems to have misjudged that one and drops it. Unadkat isn’t pleased.
Kieron Pollard has come out to join Hardik Pandya here, both the players have been in superb form and Royals death bowling has been abysmal except for Archer. This could certainly mean fireworks here!
WICKET! de Kock departs now, both the settled players gone. Gopal does the trick as de Kock takes the aerial route but hits the ball straight to de Kock who takes a good catch. de Kock departs for 65 from 47 ball andMumbai are 111/3 after 14.3 balls.
WICKET! Suryakumar Yadav departs now, Binny bowls the short ball which holds up a bit on the surface. Suryakumar Yadav looks to go for the pull shot but ends up holing out to Dhawal Kulkarni in the deep. Surya departs for 34 and MI are 108/2
Shreyas Gopal with another quiet over here, almost a stumping as well but de Kock just about manages to get his foot back inside the crease. Meanwhile, 100 is up for Mumbai and they are 102/1 after 13 overs
SIX! Absolutely clobbered by de Kock and it goes sailing voer the mid-wicekt boundary. This partnership is quickly picking up the pace here. Currently 86 off 59 deliveries. Mumbai are 97/1 after 12 overs.

Good that Smith has been made the captain, I think it should give Rahane the freedom to play his game and not think about the captaincy. Problem for Royals though is that even Smith was dropped in the previous game for Turner, both Smith and Rahane have not been among the runs but I dont see anyone else as a leader in this side.
Shreyas Gopal with yet another quiet over, just six runs conceded from that one. Mumbai might want to step on the gas just about now, considering the batsmen they have in the dugout. Mumbai are 87/1 after 11 overs
Dhawal Kulkarni using the slower ball extremely well here, Smith doing well by ensuring that he bowls most of his overs before the likes of Pollard and Pandya come in.
Riyan Parag starts by conceding 7 runs in his first over, good tight bowling by the leg-spinner. Again, the strategy from Mumbai seems to be to setup a solid base which allows the likes of Pandya and Pollard go hell for leather later.
Unadkat with a good over there, except for one ball where he skips onto the pads and de Kock makes full use of it to dispatch it towards teh boundary. Mumbai are 46/1 after the powerplay, another good start this
Smith turns to Archer here to bowl one over before the powerplay here, he concedes six runs but really troubles de Kock with his pace there. Mumbai Indians are currently 38/1 after 5 overs
de Kock is really taking the attack to Kulkarni here. Three consecutive boundaries and then a maximum. Mumbai looking to make full use of the new ball here as they know it will get difficult as the game progresses. 19 runs from that over. Mumbai are 32/1 after 4 overs
DROPPED! Shreyas Gopal could have had both the openers in one over there, de Kock mistimes one and it goes straight up in the air. Archer comes in from long on but drops the catch. He did all the hardwork there and reached the ball but it just pops out after hitting his hand
